Only High Beams or No Lights at all - Slee Harness Upgrade with Auxiliary Harness

I installed the slee harness a few weeks ago. One it was in I was getting high beams, but no low beams. Turns out that the bulbs blew when the new harness was installed. No clue why. Switched out the headlight bulbs for new ones and got high and low again.

    Roof Rack

Ok - this has been extremely helpful. A few points: I'd like to keep it to $1,000. I'm very interested in the BowFins, but would prefer side rails with the type of cargo we'll be carrying, as I said in the initial post (family luggage, tents, etc.) Another consideration is wind noise. How is...

    Roof Rack

Mandatory - I've used the search function already mea culpa. I'm looking at purchasing a roof rack (my first) in the near future and would love your opinions and insight into what brand / type to consider. I'm going to use the rack mainly for travel. We've got four kids, so a rack is...

    A potentially dumb question

This makes sense to me. The ice analogies always threw me off. This is easier to visualize.

    A potentially dumb question

Isn't this what the center diff lock does? It splits the power evenly between both axles? If the viscous coupler does this automaticaly, what's the need for the center diff lock?

    A potentially dumb question

I'm new to off roading and have been trying to learn as much as possible about my LX, exactly how the 4WD functions work, and what it's capable of. (no lockers) I've been researching online and reading the forum, but a lot of the threads here descend into madness and infighting. :) Here are my...

    First Upgrades on LX450

I'm in my mid thirties. However, I will tell you that when I showed it to my dad he said, "Looks great! Reminds me of my '73 charger with those white letter wheels!" Haha.

Are any of you daily driving their 80-Series?

I DD'ed a 85 FJ60 then a 96 LX450. Still in the 80. Had to get rid of the 85 because we have four kids and lap belts/manual was a nightmare when we needed to trade vehicle. The 80 is perfect if you want a reliable, cool, car that can still haul kids. My wife loves it too!

    First Upgrades on LX450

It's been life changing (almost not an exaggeration) for me. The roads are rough in some spots, for sure, and it's such a nice drive now.

    First Upgrades on LX450

I actually debated that quite a bit! Saw that most folks on here prefer white letters in, but it just looks better to my eye for some reason.

    First Upgrades on LX450

I've had a 96 LX450 for a few years and finally took the plunge to upgrade. Added an OME stock height kit and 285 Cooper AT3 XLT's. I know it's not much for this crew, but it's SUCH a big difference to me that I wanted to share. Not to mention the fact that it drives like a new car compared to...
