Bummer man. I’m telling you if you need a fix today go with gorilla weld from HD. Two part epoxy. Had several hundred miles on my 2010 with 153k and it’s still holding.... here’s a pic. PS. Sand it very well with 180grit.
What product did you use? Have you let the car get up to temperature for a little while? That crack looks very close to the edge of the epoxy on the right side of the pic. Just looking out for you.
Would it be worth it to do a detailed DIY video on radiator replacement? It seems that there are thousands of these out there that will be failing over the next few years and most garage mechanics would probably be able to do it. Maybe I’ll post that soon on my ‘10 LX.
2010 LX570 with 153,000 radiator crack and spraying coolant at the part number molding. Tried Seal-All and did not work. Sanded and cleaned the plastic really good and used gorilla weld from Homedepot. Solid fix with minimal cost and no leaks after a few hundred miles. Gorilla 1 fl. oz...
Update. The previous ac cleaning didn’t work. Filling a small hole on the drivers side with foam doesn’t get enough on the coil. Today I removed the blower motor, glove box and knee airbag to access the coil from the blower housing. Then the real fun starts...
First I used a garden sprayer and...
Beautiful Lexus GX470 for sale. 183,000 miles. Clean Carfax no accidents. Ice cold AC. Third row seats available in Austin for about $500 on ebay. Paint looks great, with no fading. Just one little spot on the driver fender that is missing some clear coat. Pic attached. Great maintenance records...
I bought a 2010 LX 570 a few weeks ago and the AC needed a refresh. Bought the foam cans off Amazon. The said “bunghole” is in fact the drain for the main evap coil and is impossible to access. What I did to make it clear was spray degreaser with the squirt function of a spray bottle and then...
You will also notice the Big O A/T, Big Foot tires that came with this car. They rode like garbage and were noisy, so that’s why I put the Michelin’s on it.
That is a good question. Eagle eye. The night view is a non issue since the windshield has been replaced several times with a non-Nightview windshield. The bumper cover that came on the car when I bought it had a scratch and instead of repairing, I replaced it with the other LX470 I had that had...
