Had something similar happen to one of my other cars. Turned out to be a loose plug wire, I had not seated it correctly and it poped off. At high RPMs it ran great but studered at low speed. Hope this helps Lothar

No, I left it the way it was. I could be wrong but I think the after market connectors bypass the amp. All speakers work except the dash. Lothar

I just installed that same unit in my cruiser last week. The install went great, it fits perfectly using the stock mounting brackets. Just remember you are not going to use the same factory connector the stock radio did, if you look carefully you will find two smaller connectors attached to...

Good point CruisinGA, I would think the weight off the trailer matters. I think I'm looking at something around 2000lbs. Now I don't mean to nitpick but it strikes me that if I'm toolin' down the hyway at 75 0r 80 mph in 3rd gear wouldn't the higher rpms create heat and strain on the engine...

So what's the deal with keeping the OD off? If we're cruisin' down the hyway at 70mph and OD off doesn't that crank the rpm's a bit high. Granted I don't do much towing, but I'm thinking of getting a popup soon so I'm curious :)
