Maybie the EDIC stays in "off mode". Try to disconect the rod between the injectionpump and EDIC. If you push it back it will give more fuel for starting and if you pull it forward it the engine will stop. In the middle is normal oparation and it should start.

Video I am a little concurned. I've tried several oil changes without success. If you listen to this maybe someone recognises the sound: YouTube - Ticking engine In about 30 seconds it will begin to fade away and will be complitely gone within 1 or two minutes.

Sounds like good theories. The colder it is the worse it gets. At a cold start below 0 degrees celsius it starts for at 1/10 of a second then dies immediately because the rpm drops to much. I have to restart it 5-10 times if I don't help it with the throttle.

Yes and it hides the problem but doesn't quite solve the problem. Now it doesn't stall but after putting down the clutch it falls down to 400-500 rpm a few seconds before it stabilizes at 700rpm. I would like to know what causes this and do a proper repair.

My 12HT has an annoying ticking noise at cold startup. The colder it is the longer it ticks. Maybe 20-30 seconds at 0 degrees Celsius. Sounds like one tick/click per rev... Any suggestions?:rolleyes:

Thats seems right. I downloaded the Toyota Repair manual for 2H and 12H-T and it says .3 kg which equals 43psi minimum at hot idle. When I've driven for hours at 100-120km/h (62-74mph) i measure 1kg (14psi). Thats the lowest I'll ever get, even how hard I try. If I drive a little more normal...
