Exhaust routing with Labs rear bumper

I definitely like this install, but unfortunately I think I have to have the tailpipe stick out enough or have enough showing that the emissions place can attach the sniffer onto the pipe? When I move away from Commierado I will certainly consider this option.

Exhaust routing with Labs rear bumper

The exhaust shop did a good job but it will be interesting to see if it can survive a straight ledge drop? A normal departure angle it will be fine but a straight Utah ledge drop could be an issue? He tacked on the hanger that I took him on the inside of the frame rail and routed the resonator...

Exhaust routing with Labs rear bumper

I wish I had seen this thread before taking my truck in this AM! I guess I'll post up what my exhaust guy came up with...I wanted to keep the resonator so I took him the entire rear section (from muffler back) and asked him to modify it to come out the inner frame, keeping the resonator.

4x4 labs rear bumper DIY -- What have you done to customize it?

I did something similar to support the arms. I used 1” UHDPE blocks under each arm. I also put a piece of UHDPE on the bump stop on the bumper so there is zero metal on metal. It is solid and silent. And, yes, I did figure out that I mounted the latch hook wrong :). Still holds...

    4X4 Labs rear bumper mudflaps.

I think it says “Flares or no flares”, not mud flaps. Obviously if you are flare less then you’d want your bumper to be narrower. Nothing to do with mud flaps.

    Absolute Wits End

Maybe…but more than anything he just needs to actually care when someone has an issue. Been a couple years and he still owes me $100. I’d love to order from him because he has some great stuff…but I will not order anything until he makes it right. All he’d have to do is offer my money as a...

    Absolute Witt’s end?!?!?!?

I finally ordered another belt molding kit for $100, so if Joey wants to make it right, he's gonna have to either give me a $100 credit or send me the $100 cash. Not holding my breath because he just doesn't care.

Builds The Oddball 80 - Middle East GX Renovation

I am very late to your thread, but saw your truck in Toyota Trails and immediately recognized it as my assigned vehicle when I was stationed at Eskan Village in late 1996. It wouldn’t keep up in the “Allah Lane” but for everything else it was golden!!! Thanks for sharing with everyone!

For Sale Tandem Master Cylinder Adapter for early FJ40s and FJ45s, SoCal

These are definitely the way to go on the older, non-boosted systems. Super easy to change from a single system to front/back circuits. I made one for my '67 but should have purchased when Mark had them available.

    Absolute Wits End

Agree. But maybe others will think twice or just know that they are rolling the dice. It would be so easy for him to pay a high school kid for 3 days to track down all the people he has screwed and just make it right. Easy. But he just doesn’t care if I eat $100 that he could have easily taken...

    Fridge question

Ok, I’ll play…I’ve done both passenger and driver. I am now 100% sold on driver side now, for one main reason….I prefer my sleeping platform on the passenger. I am 6ft 3in tall and in order for me to sleep in the truck, the front seat needs to be all the way forward. When I had the sleeping...

    Obd1 CEL code 12 help

My bet is on the battery...and depending on your Dual Battery system, you may find it happens again. I ended up trashing my dual battery system as I had nothing but problems for the years I had it. Now that I'm using a completely separate lithium setup to run all of my accessories, not tied at...
