im in the process of doing some custom door panels and want to use something besides the plastic push fasteners. can anyone direct me to the appropriate size and type (rivnut or nutsert). my gauge is saying the holes are about 8mm.
can anyone recommend specific rivnut / nutserts and screws to...
im up in the air the best way to move forward. talked to a guy today about a snap in so that it could easily be removed.
thinking about getting him to make some custom back panels too, to utilize the space where the jack and speaker are.
and on a side note thinking about spectrum sludge +...
i may do this but i was hoping to leave it more open after applying sound / insulation barriers. that way maybe install / allow for some inside racks. i tear things apart to follow my crazy ideas which i often back out of and i would rather not constantly be removing the headliner like i do...
looking for options to replace the headliner on the 93 fjz80. i do not need oem, it does not need to be super pretty. i want something easy (easier than the stock headliner removal) have considered lizard skin but was hoping to find something to cover that make the ceiling have less edges to it.
mine looked like this;

checking and even re-installing one of these switches is probably not a  job if you have patience and your hands aren't claustrophobic.
the price of a new switch is something better avoided if possible.
good luck, enjoy
new sensor / switches at the rear and cdl, new wire harness from the rear lock to the rear ds harness, new wire harness from the cdl to the firewall and the problem seems to be solved.
thanks for everyone's help.
looks like i'm ready to get myself into trouble.
yes that white piece was supposed to stay behind the mirror, the only way i could figure to get it back in was to break the mirror and put it in from behind where the mirror was
so that nss switch has problems around where it plugs into the wire harness around the firewall / tranny.
ordered one from cdan, hopefully this fixes the problem otherwise the chase continues.
if it continues with additional expense i just might run some manual reverse lights, i don't like to...
heard that.
with the rear harness i went pretty far up and down the wires and it was just brittle and cooked on all of them except the worst one which was turned into dust in a small spot (1-2"). i think that wire took the brunt of the blow and burned itself out quick while the others were...
its confirmed that the rear had a wiring problem, the wire was dust. literally.
as for the center diff i'm thinking its not looking too promising for that harness either. i have yet to get it out for a thorough test as i'm trying not to brake any of the connections with my big dumb hands.
and...
i started to work on the wire harness hoping that i could splice and solder but after looking at the other wires i quit before i got too far. the wires were dark and brittle. i thought about rebuilding the harness while saving the plugs but i think i'll get a new one.
should i go oem with...
tonight my buddy goes through the wires with me and he looked into a dent in the conduit on the harness that runs from the rear locker to the back ds. above the spare tire it seems the harness was hit and the yellow wire on the rear locker sensor / switch took the brunt of the blow. stripping...
