Interesting. I may try that. I just reved the engine in neutral a bit and their is no shudder or hesitation, so I am thinking it is not the timing or injectors after all. How hard was it to change the throttle position sensor?

Ok boys...I have a strange issue with my 97 FJ80. No check engine light, idles fine. Drives fine until you hit about 40mph, then you get a slight shudder, kind of like having a wheel out of balance, but definitely an engine issue. I think maybe I am running on 5 cylinders. It goes away when...

I just drove it a bit and there was a "crackle" at the fusebox and the lights turned off.
