My best guess is loose wheel bearings. I had a similar intermittent issue for a few weeks and found out the bearings were a little loose. That has solved my problem and a cheap and easy thing to check

I had to do this on mine with a heat gun and it worked great. Just sweep back and forth with the heat while pushing it out with your hand from the inside and it'll pop right out once it gets warm enough
That is salt content for the brine.
I've only done dry brines and have had good success.
I think the recipe I used last time was: (All based on percentages of weight of the pork belly)
0.25% Curing Salt
2.5% Sosher Salt
1.25% Brown Sugar
1T Black Pepper
1t Pickling Spice
1t Thyme
It was sufficiently salty. I think I used 2.5% of the total weight of the belly for salt. If you like it extra salty I'd bump it up to 3-3.5% of the total weight of the belly
