Hey Land Bruiser, Did you ever figure this one out? I just picked up a '93 that has the exact same symptoms! I'm coming from a '94 that just blew a head-gasket (at 300k), but never had any of these problems. :( I wish I knew more about this stuff, but I'm still learning.
