I don't think they are oem as I never seen those before . Toyota uses caps on the frp bolts in the rear and they look different . You might want to upgrade to the early nob style bolts to secure the windshield frame they are supercool
I have been a little quiet here but busy with the car readying for Dakar, we are prepping for a new roll cage to give more room and sorting out some poor electrical wiring used for accessories like internal lights but also the intercooler pump...
Work progressing in the bay. We will remake the intercooler pipes in alloy and smooth the flow a bit. You can see that brake booster is almost screaming “upgrade me next”😁
If interested (but in Croatian and English) if you search Nas Dakar! In youtube Juraj made a video of his 2025 Dakar race in the car. Lots of footage of the car, including during stages. He is a lovely guy and works hard for his sponsors!
A couple of Skyline Drive shots from last week. They are very mild compared to what Felde just shared, but it is what I have.
My daughter snapped an embarrassing shot of me at the information center on the Skyline.
So after making the aluminum panels for the 73/74 series I am thinking about making some panel kits for the 75/78 troopies .
These would be made out of 0.125" (3,1 mm) aluminum and unlike the 73/74 batch that where cut on a plasma these would be...
Got the bumper lights installed (pain in the ass due to the bumper being installed) and managed to also install a trailer light harness while I was added. I used that t-connector 1997 Camry harness that others have used. It did require me to swap...
I installed it on my HJ75. Needed to extend the back which was easy peasy. Harness was almost new condition and I bought all the relays 12 V. EVERYTHING worked. What took the longest was deleting the daylight box. I ended up jumping 3 sets...
If it is 15-20 min you probably have a airleak in your fuel lines . Shouldn’t take more then 30 seconds on a cold start for the idle to smooth out and the smoke to disappear
This is actually very common on 1HZ's , when I fire up in cold temps I immediately either turn on the hand trottle or push the accelerator in a bit to raise the idle and get trough those first 20 seconds . It's just the nature of the beast
Sad to see how cruiserheads don’t appreciate these tools . I have the full tool set nib here and I am not letting that go cheap . The complete sets have been nla for a long time now and the one listed here was not complete but a good start .
You can’t get that style anymore. At least not new. They come up used on yahoo auctions.
I had those but I replaced them with ones I like more. See below. These are for power windows and power locks but don’t wrap over the top.
70s and all Landcruisers… every oil change (~3000 miles) I also grease the drivelines. Eventually the bottom of my rigs have a layer of black dry grease. Over the years it accumulated to a massive amount. I figured to tackle it with high...
