Wow, way more great info then I expected, the hot wire to the ammeter was golden!
I sort this out now that I have been enlightened about the various processes. Once I get that cluster out I will get some better bulbs to brighten up the gauges
Thanks
My Temp gauge quit on me today. All the others work fine. I am guessing it's the sending unit, but I don't know were on the engine that part is. I have a Haynes Manual and for the life of me I cannot find it in the book either!
If it were the fuse the other gauges would be dead too, they...
The aussie is as good as it gets for an auto locker. Sure it clicks and lets you know it's there.
I have found experimenting with this that keeping the air pressure balanced and at the high end on the street seems to make it nearly invisible on the road. Airing down off road it will lock 100%...
Just read that pile of data in the tire sizes with the the lift used. That was a ton of info from across the country ( and out of the country too)
While reading this I wandered how many guys swap R&P as well to keep the torque needed off road? And at what point did you notice that the tires...
Seems cruisers are one of the few vehicles and maybe the only 4x4 that break the rule of losing value the minute you drive it off the lot.
At 8500 bucks ( worth the price IMO) he is selling this for at least 1000 more then the sticker price in 1971
Thats the best statement here: Don't hesitate to walk away. I paid 5k for mine and everything worked flawlessly only needed body work. You cannot put 3500 into that and buy what I did. Mine was no exception, it was a solid Fj for 5k there are plenty like the one I bought. Of course I've since...
Suspect, I'll make the PS my priority for now. It's really all I need to make this about perfect for my needs. Thanks for the feedback. Not to choose the PS options!
I'm not a rock crawler, but I do have a desire for additional traction in the front. I have an aussie in the rear axle. I also have manual steering which may be swapped in the next 10 months to a year. My cruiser already does about everything I would like it to do for my needs, Just hate seeing...
I have the hell Creek 4" and its better then stock and works as you would expect. I seem to remember them saying that they actually make the springs for dozens of the companies selling lift kits. There might even be web info on this if you do a search for the hell creek company and read their...
My Aussie locker rear is also done now. On the jack it tested and locked well, clicked a bit when spinning but nothing annoying.
Off road it is magic, don't even need 4 wheel drive for many trails now. On road i've been concerned a few times as I forget it's there and never even hear it at...
Do you have to fold the windshield down to install these? I'm not in the mood to break free my top and fold the glass down, just wondering if that is required.
Do you think that adding this fan will move enough air under the hood to eliminate vapor lock?
There has been a lot written about the Carb fan and tough vapor lock starts, wouldn't it be just as effective to use a fan to move the hot air out from under the entirety of hood as it is just...
