Yes it's a piece of s***. It came with the car, so it was free. I did consider upgrading to OEM but I thought it was going to be more like $240 at the dealership. I don't think my local Toyota dealer would sell me a free cup of coffee for under $40.

Sorry my description might have been misleading as my key doesn't really have a fob either. There are no buttons on it or anything. But it does contain a battery. UPDATE: 3 months later and ZERO recurrences. This was happening all the time before I changed my key fob battery. If you've gotten this far in the thread do yourself a favor and try it.
