I wouldn’t consider doing lockers and keeping stock gearing. The regear is where the value is and the labor is the same.
Honestly a decent set of ATs, low psi, and the center lock will through anything you will want to do.
would get a full quote for parts and install and then decide if it’s worth it to you. They’re neat but I wouldn’t pay the $6-$8k it would cost a shop to do it.
The most cost effective route is to cut and extend your existing CV axles.
I carry 2 spare axles so I can’t imagine anyone throwing $10k+ at parts and still having the factory cvs.
Change the AHC fluid first, you likely don’t need globes. It’s cheap, easy, and will likely fix your complaints. If it hasn’t been serviced in a while it will feel like brand new suspension.
Sounds like you need to replace the AHC fluid. It’s similar to flushing brake fluid but it takes less time. Mine didn’t ride well when got it and I thought about replacing the suspension too until I did some research. I replaced the fluid about 6 years ago and it still rides great.
Not really. Labor overseas is cheap and that makes many things possible. It is absolutely possible at many shops here if you want to pay them a lot of money but coilovers alone have little benefit. If someone does feel the need to throw $15-$20k at this platform they would probably be better...
