This might help somebody:
I've had the common sticking starter motor issue, cleaned out the plunger and contacts on the solenoid part of the starter and thought it had gone away.
Then I began to have random starting - really not a safe thing to happen!

This is my LC80 with a 1.75" body lift and 2" spring lift. It clears ø37" tyres (just).
For the 1.75" lift I did have to modify the radiator mounting brackets and cut out the bulkhead/firewall for the steering linkage.

Just to add a further note, I have just done the same to my Warn HS9500. Exactly the same procedure with the exception of point 6 where I had to rotate 360° not the 180° (at 180° the brake would only just scrape and not hold).

Agree, mine were really pitted and rusted in tight. split the calipers and get to work with a large pair of grips and work it out. They do come eventually (takes a lot of effort). They clean up well, new pistons are pricey but the new seals are quite reasonable.
Hmm never thought about the jb weld!
Going to give the speedi sleeve a try, it looks like the ideal size does not exist, might have to go for one very slightly smaller and turn the shaft down in the lathe... will report back!
