So there shouldn't be anything mechanically wrong with the wheels on the rig (disregarding the looks, which have been noted)?

Clarification It's the black steel wheels - more for road comfort purposes than 'glitz and glam,' as my ladyfriend puts it.

Could one put the 17" FJ Cruiser wheels on a 40? What sort of problems, if any might one encounter?

Brian, Would it be a better idea to just have a ring job and tune-up done on the existing F to get it to stop leaking oil and a bit smoother? I am on a bit of a budget...

Thanks a ton for all the help. This is already less intimidating... I figured the way I would go about it was to pull the F, then put in a longblock 2f... Bolt up the manifold, fan, clutch assembly, but change the alternator, maybe the distributor, carb and brake m/c, which needs to go...

I am removing my F motor to put a 2F motor into my 74 FJ40... What I need, but cannot seem to find is a list of the parts that I will need. Clearly I am not savvy with motors... But if there is some kind of compilation of parts that I will need to buy to have this done, please let me know how...
