I chose this way based off of another post. I can tell you it solved my problem and I haven’t had any issues since.

I’ve been thinking about a T fitting as well. The carburetor and intake lines into one port, then the purge to purge and the air into the frame.

Thanks, that makes complete sense. The problem is what do I connect that line too?
Tank and Purge are self explanatory, with the third connection (Air) do I use it to connect the carburetor line or the vent to the frame? And then what do I do with the other line?

On the AC Delco replacement canister, there are three ports on top. The original has three on top and one on the bottom.
This leaves me with one extra port.

Starting isn’t an issue unless it’s really cold, and I can honestly say mileage isn’t an issue, I’ve accepted the fact that she’s a thirsty girl.

The only reason is when I travel long distances and run into any incline, my old girl is a dog. 3rd gear is a must.
Otherwise she runs great, idle is perfect. I’m planning on another mountain run in the next year and would like to have better performance...
Does this fuel filter twist off? It doesn’t want to budge. I thought about running a blade in the seem to clean out the small space, but don’t know if there’s a gasket. I want to change it, but I’m afraid of breaking it and being without my ride
