Hybrid Life

I'm currently a student of camper/offroad/vanlife build technology for hybrids, minivans, vans, SUVs, and RVs.. I am somewhat of an expert regarding the advantages and limitations of hybrid technology (particularly Toyota's technology in the Prius and Prius Prime, now making its way into the rest of their products) in that regard, and how to get around some of the limitations. I bought my first hybrid in October 2000. I've not had to call Matt's Off Road Recovery yet, despite having often boldly gone where no hybrid had gone before. As of September 2020, I'm on a 12v compressor fridge research kick, and am dealing with figuring out things as simple as: What are the dimensions of each fridge, for real? Does it taper as in the photos, or is it straight as in the dimensioned drawings? Does the plug panel bump out as in some marketing photos, or is it flush as in others? Are rebranded fridges Y and Z identical to fridge X, or was it upgraded, downgraded, or just a clone from a different factory? Ahhh, the mysteries and risks of equipment selection!
