FJ60 Burnt Fusible Link Fuse replacement / Rewire

Rewiring the Denali harness is very much on the table. Will get it done eventually, and I agree that your stock 60 kit would the way to go. Once I undo whatever the PO did, I will get your kit installed and finally have some peace of mind.

FJ60 Burnt Fusible Link Fuse replacement / Rewire

My LS swap uses the engine harness from the donor vehicle (probably a 2002-ish Denali 6.0Ll/4L60E). No fusible link to the engine harness, near as I can tell. First thing I did was to redo the battery cables and grounds. Still working my way through the rest of the harness. 145A alternator goes...

    Rubber Parts

The parts list on this website goes back into the 1980's - I bought a bunch of hard-to-find odds and ends from them: https://www.toyotapartsdeal.com/ Parts diagrams can be found here: https://partsouq.com/ (search by VIN)

Made some urethane parts for my 87

shoot me a message if you want some parts. I can print and mail them for a super-reasonable price. My urethane parts don't have the finish quality of OEM, so purists beware. I'm working on two versions of a switch panel for my off-road lights, that integrates into the dash. Also working on...

New FJ60 Owner + Stereo Install

Excellent work my friend. Thanks again for putting your work out here! I changed up the bracket just a bit. I'm a mechanical engineer so I can't leave well enough alone. Added some vertical ribs and changed the strap to 20mm instead of 15mm. Plastic is cheap, why not. The ASA grilles and...

New FJ60 Owner + Stereo Install

Quick question: how do the speaker grilles attach? I'm not seeing it. Since I am printing stuff, I better get busy and design a switch panel to fit in the cubby below the stereo. I have a handful of Carling switches for the off-road lights on my roof rack and bumper. Will post a SW model and...

New FJ60 Owner + Stereo Install

So happy to find this thread. My Cruiser had a Walmart stereo (not hooked up) and some crappy oversize Kicker speakers (also not wired) when I got it. Thanks to your parts and your guide, I'm super-confident that I will have a quality system that looks like it belongs there. By the time the...

Made some urethane parts for my 87

Thanks for the input. I can print those hood bumpers hollow or with a grid pattern infill - so they are softer. Mine were missing so I made a solid bumper and it worked, but definitely room for improvement. I can check into some softer material as well.

Putting those on my list! Definitely going to make some lens gaskets, vent gaskets, lock gaskets, etc - those should be quick and easy to print. I will put together some prices once I get the parts drawn up and tested.

Made some urethane parts for my 87

My 1987 has quite a few missing and worn-out rubber parts that are either expensive or unobtainable. One by one, I have been re-creating them using Solidworks and my 3D printer. Parts are made with TPU, which is polyurethane. They hold up well, just like aftermarket poly bushings. Check out the...
