Shelter Insurance covers all modifications. When my 80 was totaled, I submitted comps, and raised the estimate value from 5K to roughly 12K. This is a GREAT deal. I would want the same from my similarly built '02.
I'm also on 315's, and cut the snot out of the pinch weld until it stopped rubbing. Not running SPC upper's, and caster is JUST barely out of spec. I couldn't do the remold the liner trick though. I had to cut it, and the pinch weld down to where it was flat for about 4 inches, then curved a...
I have a DISSENT front bumper on my 100, but I can vouch for BIOR's work as well. I had a BIOR bumper on my 80, and it's probably the only reason that the clown who borrowed my truck and wrecked it is alive. He basically went off of a 10ft embankment and landed on the nose. Walked away.
Hey Scotch, that's mine. I used to have the lined green 80 a few pages back, until a "friend" totaled it. This is the replacement. That is indeed Ben's front bumper. Rear is a 4x4 labs w/tire swing out and ladder. Sliders, winch, and skidd going on this week. Thanks for the kind words, I'm in...
I have the ProComp 1069s ET -11 on my truck with 315s that I had from my 80 series. I hate it. Desperately. Like, they can burn in the seventh ring of hell. My Lexus looks like some redneck pickup truck with the wheels poked out from the side. It's slightly beyond hideous. At full flex my tire...
No need for this. The OP asked a serious question, and even stated that they were leaning towards a Land Cruiser.
mudeater, the LC/LX is built to a MUCH higher standard. There's a couple good reads out there on the internet, and that the LC is built to a 25 yr service life, compared to much...
I have a brand new set still in the bag from Slee. I was going to do the AHC lift on my LX, but ended up pulling the AHC system in favor of a Slee/OME setup instead. These guys, right? I'm just up the road in Nashville, so shouldn't take long to get them to you.

Alright, going with the lower spec theme, in the US I know a lot of people pull the third row seats and throw them away. At least in the 80 forum. I WANT these third row jump seats!! Who overseas has them, and doesn't want them? :hmm:
I put a screen protector meant for an iPad over mine cut down to size. It hides the visible scratches and where it almost looked like it was flaking or treated with something corrosive at one point pretty well and also cuts down on glare.
I just picked up a set of Pro Comp 1069s in 16x8 with a -12 offset to run my 315/75/16s on. Right now they are just sitting in my office at home though, and it will be about a month before they make it onto the truck. Sorry man. I can tell you that if you are wanting to stay with 16s, good luck...
