For the cooling system…you pretty much have it all covered My radiator was seeping and had pink crust back in 2017 when I bought my GX470. I went ahead and changed the timing belt, pulley, water pump (Asin kit), radiator (Denso), Toyota t-stat...

Also, ordered the parts to do the GX460 Front Calipers and Lexus rotors upgrade. Add it to the mounting number of parts on hand that need installation… Parts on-hand already purchased: Driveshaft clunk; upgrade propeller rear shaft assembly...

It’s not perfect, but I was able to add a couple of motorcycle handlebar brackets to mount a FrontRunner tie down rings that will hold a pole to attach my moonshade-like awning like 3-feet past the body. I cracked my end caps like there’s no...

Tri tip with chimichurri, grilled potatoes with onions and bell pepper, and garlic butter bread. I did make the chimichurri at home the day before. I also made the compound butter at home the day before. Recipes from Sam The Cooking Guy on...

This is somewhat of an embarrassing post to write - but hopefully fessing up with let others will learn from my mistakes. Never use additives in ATF! The first day or so after my fluid swap, my transmission was operating great. Over the next...

I’ve been looking for an awning for the back as well. I use a moon shade type awning now but it takes a while to setup.

Added overlanding molle panels to the outside of the quarter windows. It’s for the looks! If I load up my two 3-gal rotopx and my 2-gal rotopax, I can carry 8 gallons of gasoline for those trips deep into Death Valley. That’s like a 300+ mile...

Make sure it’s not a scam. Read this page. It has the compressed and extended lengths of shocks in mm. 1 in = 25.4 mm https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/official-dobinsons-lexus-gx470-thread-all-parts-specs-and-options.1266355/

You are very intent on going long travel LCAs? I know DK and TC are long travel. Long travel LCAs are not required to run 35s as far as I know. You could get standard length LCAs from Toyota/Lexus. Tinkerers Adventure on YouTube has a video...

I love the lightweight backpacking gear. When I was a scoutmaster for my sons Boy Scouts troop back in the day, I purchased a lot of lightweight backpacking gear for our long term backpacking trip into mountains behind mammoth lakes. I could...

Yeah…the price for the snowpeak entry IGT (which includes the flat burner) is what keeping me from buying. I just like the fact that there’s a ton of accessories that fit into that table. I already use a 24x48 folding table that sits like 18”...

Keeping it simple…I’ve been eyeing the Snow Peak IGT table and flat stove. It allows you to sit down on you favorite low chair and cook while sitting down. Snow Peak has a whole system, but I’m warming up to the Snow Peak IGT starter kit.

Okay…I confirmed that my reman cv axles are in fact Toyota oem. I just don’t know how many miles they had in them prior to rebooting them. I’m hoping mine are the real deal and last me a while

That’s sucks on the reman ones from Toyota. I have my reman ones from Toyota sitting in storage for when I’m ready to install. This story doesn’t give me confidence! I hope it’s an 80% chance they are a good reman from Toyota!

If you Google the Toyota oem part number 43430-60082 or the Toyota reman part number 43430-60082-84, you still find dealers selling either the new or reman part. Not sure what’s going on…I’m guessing Toyota is making new ones again, so the...
