Good points! I'll ask the question about Alu-Airbox when we start looking at the 5" snorkel, if they considered or have ideas about using aluminium. This was our previous attempt.... was an SS copy of the OEM, made by a mate in a Stainless Shop.... but it couldn't keep up.

Yes it is... but we seem to be keeping intake temps within around 1 to 2ºC of ambient when moving so not a major issue, at least not for us it seems. Any idea what material would be better? I'd never really considered it before....

The airbox is from Moonlight Fabrication and it's an off-the-shelf item iirc, about AUD$950 with a filter. https://moonlight4wd.com.au/

It's a custom 4" Stainless snorkel made by a local 4x4 fabricator to suit the existing hole that was already there from an older Safari snorkel, but now looking to step up to 5" as still seems to be sucking ~10kPag vaccuum across the filter at full noise.

Seeings most of the interior is already out for another job, now would be a good time to put the Dynamat in :) I hear 10sqm / 30sq. ft is about right for the entire interior minus the roof-lining... can anyone confirm?
