Interesting, did you notice air flow reduction as a result? This is good to know but perhaps not worth the purchase.. will keep it in mind i case i know someone who has it.
Alright, let me share my personal take on the Lc300 after +2 years of ownership. I'll only address my rants but also the workaround the issues for general benefit.
Comfort & Usability
Ventilated seats: fan noise is loud and distracting. Sometimes gets to my head on longer drives.

I finally found out about someone who was about to pull it off professionally. Hence, reviving this thread for the general benefit.

The only catch is that the guy is...
What really bothers me is that Toyota claims that the LC300 had a lot of inputs from Australian engineers though the course of its development. "Toyota also claims input from the local testing “contributed significantly” to the new platform and body structure while powertrain testing and...
This is where I think Toyota’s kind of struggling to stay true to what customers actually want. They’re really focused on hitting global targets and market promises — like cutting 200 kg across generations — but in doing that, some models are losing what made them special to begin with. I get...
I agree with you, the hybrid is usually only offered on the higher trims (VX/VXR, which are equivalent to the ZX), and these are typically positioned as the 'luxury' versions. It's not too surprising, since Toyota has been doing this for a while — even back when the LC200 got its facelift. The...
Key changes:
LC300 is now getting VJH310 powertrain (1M-HEV) 457hp @790nm which is the same as the lx700h setup
New front/ rear bumper (GR is kept the same)
Upgraded rear power outlet leveraging the hybrid battery.
Downgraded gas tanks (of course). The main variants will get 98L tanks but GR...
There are currently 3 powertrain variants of the LC300:
GRJ300: 1GR 4.0 V6 @271hp (petrol)
VJA300: 3.4 L V35A-FTS twin-turbo V6 @409hp (petrol)
FJA300:F33A-FTV twin-turbo V6 @304hp (diesel)
There will be a hybrid variant of VJA300 coming at Q3/Q4 this year (similar setup as the LX700h

You know it's serious when even the UN avoids the twin-turbo and choose naturally aspirated V6.. it's not flashy.. it's not fast..but it also won’t shower the Sahara in shrapnel when the bearings let go
Honestly, the Overtail looks amazing. I'm so glad I passed on the LX600 a few years back during the chip shortage days—would’ve seriously regretted that decision now
Crawl Control can functionally get you out of trouble in most cases without lockers... Its still software vs mechanical but unless there a specific extreme offorading need, CC can get the job done.
This issue is also common in the LC300 as well. Many people have complained about this (in my region) and our local dealer is now shoving up rubber bricks inside the hood vent openings ( under the thermal insulation). In my case, that did solve the problem by 85%, i can still see the hood...
Looking back, I think we now have a better understanding of why the engines were failing (sort of)—assuming Toyota's statement is accurate. It seems more like a production issue rather than a design flaw. What would really worry me is if main bearings start to slide out of new engines (post...
