I have bought a rebuilt F motor from spector... it is for my 1973 40. The sticker on the side of the motor says F155. I hear this is a hybrid F/2f motor from a 74.
The problem is: :doh: the new motor is not identical to my original in that the oil pump has to be mounted on the right, passenger...

I am looking for a motor for my FJ. I hear that a F engine will be the easiest option. But a 2F will give me more power??? Will I need to upgrade to a 4 sp. trans. if I go for the 2F? What else will i need to consider IF i go for the 2F???
