I live in snow country full time now, and have a long, steep driveway, so need studded snow tires. Any recommendations? The local tire guy recommended Cooper Arctic Claw, but I think they're out of production, so the tires he has are probably a year or two old.

Could it be...? The EFI relay causing this problem? We checked wiring from the battery all the way to the ECU, and everything seems fine, including the fuseable links. Thoughts?

Dan - Thanks. I read the thread, but don't think its the same problem. My truck doesn't stop; it just loses power for a second and the CEL flashes for an instant. It'll sit at idle all day.

I haven't run a code since replacement of the distributor kit, because the check engine light is intermentent as well. Thanks for the tip though; I'll pass it on to the tech.

Yes, the kit incluses a new cam sensor and distributor. Any other suggestions?

I have an intermitent problem with power loss in my 96 LC with SC. Occasionally, I lose power, sometimes to the point where the tach drops to zero and the check engine light comes on for a second, then power is restored, and I can continue driving. At one time the check engine light came on...

So, if the ABS light doesn't come on, and neither does the CDL light, the CDL is NOT engaged, corect? I checked the fuse; its' fine. I had not used the CDL for about a month. Last time, it seemed fine. Is it concensus that it is probably the 4 lo indicator switch or the transfer indicator...

I was out riding today, shifted the LC into low, but the usual CDL light did not come on (I believe it is usually green). Additionally, when I turn the ignition off, then to on (when all indicator lights are shown (oil, check engine, front & read lockers, seat belt, etc), the CDL does not come...

I have been reading some threads re filters. I have a 96 L/C with turbo. I have been running Redline 5w30 synthetic and K&N oil filter, changing about every 5K miles. Should I switch to Toyota filters?
