No need to pull the dash. You pull the glove box and can feel where the holes are. It can be intimidating to punch the holes in the dash but with a little care it's doabl. I used the sawzall in salvaging mine because stuff was jammed up enough I couldn't pull the glove box to get to the nuts.

I'd suspect the sensor. Not sure what the FSM might give as specs, but check for the sensor complying with them.

I'd be very leery of putting tires on wheels known to be leakers. I've been through that with OEM steelies and it's a big PITA. The only (partial) soliuton I found was to apply Loctite 290 to the trouble areas inside the rim, then baking the wheel in an oven. More info here and in earlier posts...

The later alloy wheels used the washer style nuts. IIRC, the earlier ones did use cone style, but not sure what year that changed. Guess it's not a factor here, but it is something to be cautious about in case others reading this aren't aware of this changeover. The lug nuts must match the wheels.

Two mornings and two evenings today.

Camping out in Bloomington IN at my brother’s place waiting for the eclipse Monday afternoon. It’s the first night out with the awning recycled from the wrecked 80, the rebuilt sleeper drawer system, and the Kelty Backroads shelter.

FYI, if interested in these, I'll be going to Bloomington IN Sunday to watch the eclipse, returning here on Tuesday so potentially free delivery if you're near my route of travel. If shipped that'll be somewhat less than the $30 it cost to send the other two to Montana.

I have 2 bars left. The are the standard Front Runner bars for theior 80 series low profile rack. Width is 3 1/2" and the length is 52 3/4". I think they refer the rack as being 53" wide, but actual size of the bar is 52 3/4".

The important points here are OBDII making it easy to deal with faults and fault codes and airbags, especially airbags if you're like me, walked away from an accident where they made a major contribution to me walking away from it in good shape.
