Tire Size Recommendation for 20" Stock Wheels on an LX 570 (2014)

Michelin AT2's 285/55 20's on my stock '14 LX and I love them.

    Multiple Electrical Issues!

When I had sunroof drain issues there was water sloshing around above the headliner. It is easy to check the drains with a glass of water and a dry floor. Pour the water in the roof and see if it comes out the bottom.

    Multiple Electrical Issues!

Bloc, I agree with everything that you say with one small difference. I believe that the cowl is the “heel”. Both my ‘08 LC and ‘14 LX have had water problems after the drains were cleared and I believe that the weak point is the cowl. And, JST, any “green” on the connectors seem to cause...

New to towing - does an LX570 need a WD hitch

And just for the record, there are a number of us using the Tekshona (sp?) P3 controller and I for one are very satisfied with it.

Towing with a 200-series Toyota Land Cruiser

I thought that the controller merely tapped into the brake light circuit to “wake” the controller and the accelerometers in the controller sets the output. This is why I thought that the P3 has to be fairly level for the accelerometers to work correctly. But you’re saying that the controller...

Towing with a 200-series Toyota Land Cruiser

And this seems better than the last one? How bad was the last one? I don’t want to come across as a total jerk but that isn’t the way your brakes are supposed to work at all. They should be functioning almost undetectable from no trailer. I have never set up a Redarc but hopefully someone can...

LX570 Towing - Why Did it Change from 8,500 to 7,000???

Is it possible that the engineers use a wheelbase, spring rate, vehicle weight, hitch location and frame spec formula and one or more of the parameters changed? Of course I am only guessing at what they input to come up with their numbers.

    Key Fob Issues?? Ughhhh

While I understand the “simpler was better” mantra I have never lost my keys or locked them in the truck since I got keyless entry. The likelihood of losing them went way, way down when they stopped leaving my pocket and being unable to lock the truck combined with the never leaving my pocket...

LX 570 WDH/Sway Bar Recommendation for Escape 21C Trailer

As the outlier guy I have a 20’ 4000Lb single axle that I tow without the whd. I have tried mine with and without the whd (I had an extra laying around after selling a trailer) and I took the new “camping” trailer out without the whd and found no difference. I don’t miss the weight of the whd...

    ball-mount drop/lx570

I am going to throw my 2 cents in here. IMO, all trailers have different heights for the hitch so you have to find the height of the trailer hitch when it is level on level ground. Then you have to measure your truck with the AHC in N on level ground. That will tell you what insert you need. The...

Electrical Connector Part Numbers and Ease of DIY Replacement

I am with bloc, remove the wires from the connector on both sides and splice them together removing the junction block completely. Obviously it isn't as easy as typing it out but if you were to remove on wire from each side at a time and splice it it would not be that bad. From what I have read...

Towing with a 200-series Toyota Land Cruiser

Then only time that I have ever desired a bigger tank is on the Dempster where the first gas stop is 370 km’s and my range is 300 km’s. Now there is 10 gallons on the rear bumper and all is good.

Towing with a 200-series Toyota Land Cruiser

In my opinion, having a 20’ boat, a 20’ single axle travel trailer and a 25’ tandem axle travel trailer, there is very little that the three have in common when it comes to towing. The differences come because of variations in the center of balance and center of gravity. The boat (about 5,000...

Towing with a 200-series Toyota Land Cruiser

I have done a little bit of towing with a 6500 lb trailer and I find it to be a "tow monster" with lots of stability in cross winds and plenty of power to get down the road. Thats all, no big deal just a very minor difference of opinion on the attributes of the 200.
