stripped the new engine down and checked the clearances on the tappets, they should be good to go so off to get the head milled and ported.

Found a new to me transmission, transfercase, and engine for a steal. Motor is stripped down to the long block now and is ready to have the head machined and hopefully port the exhaust a tad bit.

not so much free time, more like 300k on the clock and needs to be changed out. I dont think ill be back from the mine for deer valley

Picking up a "new to me" motor, trans, and tcase. Going to be prepping those for a swap. Hoping to port the exhaust, possibly throw in a new cam, boring over a tad bit as well to get some more power out of the tank.

For the most part yes, we havent been doing much this year and my summer is slammed with work so I dont think a GX is a bad choice. The 2UZ with VVTI is a pretty great motor so i wouldnt be able to complain about much compared to the 1FZE
