Thanks for the welcome and the good advice. I will check into a few other options and most certainly not pay the ridiculous quote I received.

Got dinged in a parking lot - two nice black rubber "stripes" on the rear white bumper of my '02 LX470. Cosmetic damage only, nothing structural. I won't claim it on my insurance. Went to the paint shop, they want (ready?) $1,100 to repaint the bumper. Can I simply order a replacement bumper...
