So, the fluid WAS super low. But it's still coming on even though I've filled the reservoir. I'll lift up the boot on the e-brake and see if there's anything weird happening with the wiring

Yeah, it's wasn't over the weekend. It was late last week. Nothing compatible available according to what they sent me. The LHD shifter actually works just fine. Hell, anything is better than a pair of vice grips, which is what I've been using for a month.

Checked there. They have nothing available.

BOOM. Got it done. It's definitely pitched for left side drive. But I seriously doubt I'll find a right side drive h55f shifter any time soon. I've spent HOURS hunting online and zero luck. This works fine. Thanks everyone for the help!

Yeah, I'm not entirely positive the shifter I just bought will work (I think it's pitched for left side drive). Anyone have any clues how to remove this adapter? It appears to be threaded on, but I can get it to budge.

It's def an H55f. I think there's some adapter on there for a short swing shifter.

Yeah, it appears to be some type of short throw mod or something. I'm really baffled. In addition to being baffled, I'm sort of fxxxed. Hahaha

From what I can tell, both the H55F and the H42 shift levers are too short. See my photo above.

Brand new off the shelf. Can't remember part number. Had it installed in March.

So, I have a 1989 HJ61. Right side drive. Previous owner had welded a snapped shift lever on. It re-snapped. I got a replacement lever from Spectre Off-Road in the hopes it would be compatible. It is not (see photo). My next best thought is to cut off the new lever and weld on to the old...
