For Sale  1987 FJ60, Edmonton AB CAN

I know I’m going to regret this but I’m putting my 1987 Toyota FJ60 Landcruiser up for sale. I’ve had her for 2.5 years and put about 17K miles on her. • Approx. 185K miles (US model) • 2F 6 cyl gas, runs great, desmogged, leaks a bit of oil • H55 5 speed • 4.11 gears, ARB air locker in the back...

    'Mud pet memorial thread

It was a sad night for our family last Friday as we said our final farewell to my best buddy. Jayhawker’s Spot The Magic was born June 13, 2001, son of Kinwashkly’s Trademarks Magician and Jayhawker’s Priddy Kiddy Rosalie. I took him home at 8 weeks old and for almost 14 years he never left my...

    After market seat replacement?

I also have the IPOR seats and they are very comfortable and seem to be quite durable as well.

    Preventing more rust

The previous owner of my FJ60 did a color matched bed liner on the bottom half of the vehicle. 3-4 years later it now has rust spots coming through. If you're going to do this make sure there is NO rust underneath.

    Wanted  2F FJ60 throttle cable

When it's cold out my throttle sticks pretty bad for the first few miles. Hoping someone out there has a throttle cable for a 1987 2F FJ60. Part is discontinued from Toyota

I've got the H55 5 speed in my rig. I think I'll just take mine out and fix it. It's only got 30-40K miles on it and I don't think it needs a complete rebuild, just the front output bearing

    Tents

We camp with our 2 teenage daughters and 3 brittanies in a Big Agnes Flying Diamond 8. It's big enough that my wife and I and dogs can sleep on XL cots in the front room with the dogs and the kids have thermarests in the back room, with enough space for our bags. We have had some issues with the...

HJ61v JDM - The Solo Sleeper

Awesome! I did a similar trip a long time ago... that brings back some great memories. Eight of us drove that route in an old Mercedes 300D wagon and a Nissan Patrol. The guy that organized the trip bought old vehicles in Germany and took others along to share the driving and expenses. We took 2...

OCC Canvas Wall Tent Purchase Options and Vote

I inherited an old, heavy duty Alberta Forestry tent from my dad and uncle's hunting group. They bought it used over 35 years ago and set it up for months at a time. I now use it a 3-4 weeks a year and it's still in excellent condition. I'd avoid the liquidation world tent, it's lighter weight...

WTB - transfer case for 87 landcruiser

I don't think I can put off my t-case much longer. No noise in 2wd but a couple years ago it started with intermittent growling/grinding when letting off the throttle in 4wd. Now yesterday in the snow storm it was growling constantly at speeds over 25km/h while in 4wd. I'd like to find another...

    Aussie lockers in snow/ice??

They're not the best for winter driving on the street. I had a detroit in the rear end of an old Jeep TJ and the only thing that made it tolerable on ice was the trutrac limited slip in the front. I had to run in 4wd otherwise the back end would slide out with even a hint of throttle. Even in...
