I never really got it to be really snug. Seems like I tried to put a little tape and stuff to snug it up and it helped a little bun not alot. I tried that "spring" every fricking way possible and it never got super tight.....sorry I am not more help.

100% those lights are oem. Bought from MOT on this website before sor had repros. I would have opted for the repros but spent well over 200 back on the day!

Does the spring fit snugly in base attached to windshield or so you put it on the mirror and hang it?
