I would do LS Swap (or 1FZ-FE) and resell it. I know it might be a big investment but you'll make your money back and more.

I would inspect each flaky rusted spoke and I would poke through the paint to see how deep is the rust. Painting over rusted spots (even if surface rust) is a bad sign and it must be inspected.

It needs a lot of work but totally worth it.

If you can deal with the rust, I would say take your time and build this rig. If you are worried about spare parts and finding a soft top, you can always order one from UAE or Australia where they still have soft-tops and other parts.

You can ask a car importer to buy you one and import it along with the cars.
