    No power after arcing out

You ran them in parallel? Positive to Positive, Negative to Negative? I would get a test light or multimeter and back track from your battery source to see where your 12 volts is last. If you have a multimeter you can check that relay, just google for a "how to" video, but if you have no power...

Back in the club! New to me 2007 FJ Cruiser

Update: I have side bars are still in great shape. I love having them for parking lots; if anyone slams there door open they hit them versus the side of my door. I changed out PCV valve and hose, fresh oil, etc. Averaging a tad over 20 mpg mixed country back roads and hwy. I have found that the...

    Floor mat carpet hook hardware

So I had a broken floor mat hook on my 2007 FJ cruiser. The original one had a little push pin that secured it to the floor, but when I got the new one in the mail it was different. It was only a hole and was missing any kind of attachment piece. I was however able to find a universal kit at...

FJ cruiser rear parking brake shoe trick

If you disassemble the rear axle like I did I had to remove everything. For the sake of changing your parking brake pads from use, I doubt you would ever have to.

Back in the club! New to me 2007 FJ Cruiser

Got the new side steps on, super easy bolt on and way better shipping/packaging. I had ordered some side rails for another vehicle off of four-wheel parts a while back, they came dented and scratched up because they just basically put them together, wrapped them up and sent them.... These were...

Back in the club! New to me 2007 FJ Cruiser

I haven't gotten that far yet, this was just a fun mod. I'll prob do pcv stuff next and spark plugs. Then pull the trigger on o2 sensors depending on mpg and how they look. It's running so smoothly right now that I doubt I need them; It's also very possible they've already been changed. The guy...

Back in the club! New to me 2007 FJ Cruiser

Somebody said you can gain up to 2 mpg with this setup, it definitely sounds better. I'll be curious to see if I have any fuel economy gains??? Doesn't really sound plausible, but we shall see.

Back in the club! New to me 2007 FJ Cruiser

Super simple install, probably took me 45 minutes total. I think if you have some rust it maybe a little bit more complicated. Everything went together as it should, I cut the rear part of the exhaust just to get it past the rear axle. Other than that all it took was basic tools. First...

Back in the club! New to me 2007 FJ Cruiser

Picked up a little bit of surge pay at the hospital this week, decided to treat myself lol Curious to see the quality, but both of these had good reviews when I did some research. Always shop around, believe it or not the cheapest price on the internet was AutoZone which was shocking.

FJ cruiser rear parking brake shoe trick

I can definitely see how it makes it faster and easier lol I mean do you really even need a parking brake with an automatic? Sounds like a dumb question, but every vehicle I've ever owned has been manual. I have no problem with the parking brake so far, it's adjusted correctly and I've tested...

Back in the club! New to me 2007 FJ Cruiser

I was able to fix my parking brake, super easy. I had read on the internet that sometimes the mechanism would get gummed up and not work, but I couldn't find anybody posting exactly which piece it was. I'm going to post a picture now showing what I did. You can literally pop up that one portion...

FJ cruiser rear parking brake shoe trick

The worst part is I used old hardware because it's what I had, but I'm going to order another hardware kit and have to replace this stuff..... I'll be a pro at this soon haha.

FJ cruiser rear parking brake shoe trick

Ah, look at all of us engineers LOL! After looking at that, I would still recommend the way I did it. I don't think you need glue or two zip ties. I also used the cheapest zip tie so I could easily break it off. I'm not even sure where I got these, but I wouldn't use them for anything else due...

FJ cruiser rear parking brake shoe trick

I found a little hack for getting the rear shoes for the parking brake on. I know it's a huge pain in the butt when you take them off, but I came up with a way and I had never seen anybody do it so I figured I would post it just in case. Hopefully it helps somebody else out in the future...

Back in the club! New to me 2007 FJ Cruiser

Got my new seat belt installed yesterday, I feel going with a new one is just the way to go. I think it was $168 from the dealership. I found a couple cheaper online, but it has to be shipped as hazardous material due to the charge for the pretensioner.
