Temp has been good. I have been lucky with this v8. I don't recall seeing it go above 190, ever. I agree on the 4.56's. To subtle a change for the expense. Steve

Yeah, I would... I want to increase the rpms, not drop them. Engine lugs too much in OD at highway speeds. Steve

50% is commuting/highway, 40% logging roads, 10% wheeling (moderate crawling). RPMs are around 1500 at 55, ~1800 or so at 65. Steve

I have a SOA, '76 FJ40, 5.3, 700r4, Orion Case and 35" tires, stock 4.11 diffs. also 4 wheel disk brakes. I had to pull my rear 3rd, leaky gasket, and am considering regearing to 4.88's to improve the highway rpms in overdrive. I like everything about the way it is set up, just can't hardly...

Not sure about the carpet kits, didn't put any over my rhino lined tub. I used a charcoal grey indoor/outdoor carpet from Home Depot. It was there "premium" grade, looked much better than factory (in my opinion). Cost of glue and carpet was ~ $20-30.

Just got off the phone with AA, thought I'd give an update. Sounds like the end of this month is still possible, mid April at the absolute latest.
