@NJ KZJ78
So those are 17" 4runner wheels with I believe 285 75 17 tires (equivalent to the 33 MT I ran in the summer) but are a bit narrower. The ride was smoother and quieter due to the winter tread pattern. To be honest though, with the Ironman 3" lift it handles quite squirrely...
I believe cruiserparts.net is selling new "take off" raised air intakes for a pretty good deal. That's where I got mine (do note, this isn't a "snorkel" for watertight water crossings, it is a raised air intake) You may need some additional parts which you can source on megazip or similar...
I purchased and ran a KZJ78 in Wyoming for a couple years and really loved that vehicle. The 70 series guys call the KZJ78 "not a real land cruiser" and "light duty" which is technically correct but I don't know why it is done in such a condescending way tbh. This is still a body on frame 4x4...
In Wyoming, with a permit from USFS we go out to the backwoods to find dead trees to cut up, haul home and split with a log splitter, pile it up in the barn for heating. This is alot of work but I grew up doing this with my dad and brothers with fondness, so its sort of part tradition, part to...
Not gonna happen, Toyota was just selling a handful of these units before it was discontinued. Very select few wanted to pay $100k for an outdated but durable SUV.
I bought this for a 1KZJ78 but never got around to using it. This will fit any cruiser with the 1KZ engine. This downpipe is your first hurdle to getting an easy turbo back replacement exhaust system done at your local exhaust shop. $225 + shipping.
Hey, thats too bad. I am sorry you had that experience. The 1 experience I had with SIA worked out ok for me so I shared it on this thread due to the fact that out of contacting about 10 ECU rebuilders SIA was the only one willing to take a look at mine being non USA. Perhaps your ECU is...
Im gonna take a wild guess that you are "Alone on Adventure" on youtube? Missing your content! This odd behavior that is unexplained sounds a lot like ECU which a replacement is pretty much unobtanium, rebuilding is about your only option. I am unable to confirm this is for sure your issue...
There's a small button on your Auto transmission shifter that allows you to disable overdrive with your thumb, for example climbing a steep pass or pulling a trailer would be times you would want to do this to keep RPM's in the higher range for better power. My left knee sometimes accidentally...
