I had this issue on my 2018 LX. But the smell was on the driver side rear wheel. It ended up being an issue with the parking brake. I can’t exactly recall what the issue was. Also, I believe the parking brake system on the 16+ are different than on your 08.

Coming from a 08 LX, now in an 18LX, the mouse is OK at best. I miss the touchscreen. I don’t know about Beatsonic, but I installed aftermarket carplay in my wife’s 19RX350 (also has the mouse) and it was a complete waste of money. With the mouse the cursor jumps all over the place when using...
I moved from OEM p-metric tires on my previous (2008) LX to load range D KO2 and the ride was harsh. I now run load range C Toyo AT3s and find them much better on ride quality and gas mileage.
I run the same tires you have and ran a set of KO2s before the Toyos. However I switch to a dedicated set of winter tires (Blizzaks) in the winter. In extreme winter conditions a dedicted winter tire makes a difference.
I have a 2018 LX with the same tires you have and similar mileage. I can absolutely feel the difference between Comfort and Sport mode. FWIW, I run at 37 psi.
