The only shop that would touch it around where I live was National speed in Wilmington NC, I remember them telling me they were the only shop that had experience with the full time 4WD

The wires are super thin when you try to jump
It and may not connect properly. I had to redo it multiple times and I think the 4th time I was really careful and was able to use electric tape really well and delicately and I have had the sound back since then with no issues. May be worth to try...
Finally got around to it, I ended up cutting the wires and jumping it like Silverhorse did and I can’t believe it started working again. The wires are incredibly thin and delicate.

I went a slightly different route, I just slapped on a Magnuson supercharger instead at 190k miles on my 2013 200series and we shall see how it holds up 😂. I guess it’s another way of putting the engine and supporting cast to the test.
