FYI this part is about 3x as much as the ones that will give you issues but works perfectly.

Life’s kinda been Murphy’s law lately and I have to get rid of my rig. I should have done this a month or so ago, but I was hoping it wouldn’t come down to it. Then the ignition lock cylinder broke a couple days back so it needs to be towed now. Part is en route and should be here around the...
I’m going to piggy back on this thread as I just had the ignition cylinder break on my 2000 LX470 a couple nights ago. I took it apart and removed what I thought were both broken cylinder pieces but it turns out the tip also broke off alllll the way in the back of the housing.
I’m thinking...

Got it. That is doable. Will return with findings after i do this valve cover/grommet retrieval. Just waiting on spark plug tube seals to arrive and can reassemble.
I have done a fair amount of paint work, blending and minor dent filling on my 100 series. It’s not super hard, just VERY time consuming to do the prep work. You can order all the factory colors from a handful of platforms. I think they were all 2 stage though, which I would recommend regardless...
Copy that. Compressed air it is. I’m so glad this forum is available so I can avoid making mistakes trying to fix the problems i created in the first place 😂😂😂
I dropped a bunch of my PCV valve grommet into the blow off chamber a couple weeks back. So the day has come to do the removal of the valve cover and fish that grommet out. Aside from cleaning the valve cover, changing the valve cover gasket and spark plug tube seals, is there anything else you...
No fluctuations in the rpm on the gauge happen while idling. It is just an uneven vibrating intermittently. While changing PCV and cleaning the throttle body(actually haven't felt it since those were done) I did find one hose from the back of the airbag to the intake manifold starting to split...
I have not. How do you do that? By the way the ‘rough’ part of the idle is when at a red light and happens intermittently every 10 or 15 seconds. It’s in between a stutter and a hiccup that happens for about 2 seconds and goes away
That’s what I’m hoping. But as the thing breaks down and decomposes in there, issues may arise. I’m hoping it magically comes out when I change the oil next time.
