    66 FJ40 SoCal

I'd consider pretty much anything. I like muscle cars/kustoms/samurai's/Toyota's. Also have a step daughter turning 17 in a couple of months so looking for something for her to drive. I'd trade for something I wasn't interested in keeping if I thought that it was more marketable for me to...

btt I replaced the rear wheel cylinders. The brakes work now but, no more sticking, butl a little squishy. Probably just needs some more adjusting. I'll try to get this done. $4000 OBO Did I mention no rust?

1976 FJ40, possible trade? So. Cal

Mine has a Chevy, not a 2F :frown:. Tub isn't rusty that I've found, but the fenderwell headers and dash cut for gauges make it unapealing for restoration. I wouldn't mind finishing the re-assembly on yours if you included the parts. https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?p=2211749

More pictures. I ordered new wheel cylinders and should have the brakes fixed this weekend (as long as the parts come in). http://s52.photobucket.com/albums/g26/earlkann/66%20Land%20Cruiser/?start=all

Wanted WTB FJ40 rear axle and/or brakes

OK, teach me to post when I'm tired. When I payed a little more attention I see that the threads on the two years are different. Old style 1-inch bore has M11x1.25 threads and new style 7/8 bore has M10x1 threads. If anyone has at least 3 of the early wheel cylinders that is what I need.

Wanted WTB FJ40 rear axle and/or brakes

OK, no pics of my actual cylinders, but I found this info on Napa Online. Up to and including 1970 used 1-inch bore rear wheel cylinders. 1971 up used 7/8 bore wheel cylinders. Externally from the pictures they look the same. They might even bolt up. I'm willing to give it a try for $20 since...

Wanted WTB FJ40 rear axle and/or brakes

I'll try to get a pic up as soon as I can. I work in Beaumont so you may be my best hope. From what I've seen there was a change in 70 so I don't know if the 73's will work. If any one knows if I can adapt them that would help. Otherwise I'll get some pics of mine including how they mount...

Wanted WTB FJ40 rear axle and/or brakes

Good cores would probably get me going. I think that the rebuild kits are available local but I’ll double check that. I would need three complete wheel cylinders with pistons/adjusters as mine are stuck in the bores. I even tried to get one out in a hydraulic press. What would you want...

Moved yet? Either of the rear axles in good enough condition to drop in and go? (Especially the brakes?)

Wanted  WTB FJ40 rear axle and/or brakes

Like the title says. 3 out of 4 rear wheel cylinders are fubared in my 66. In the market for anything that will get it fixed, from wheel cylinders all the way to complete rear axles (with working brakes;)) Located in SoCal earlkann@msn.com Thanks, Donald

Got this just a little while back cause I really like 40's but now my 4runner needs tires and I've realized that I can only afford one project right now. Body tub & fenders in very good condition. Paint is even decent with a few chips, but still very serviceable. I was told by the PO that the...
