Soldering is better than crimping IMO. I'd want to check that the connections/wires are OK further in, it looks like they pulled out a good bit. But you could also just put it outside and see if you get the normal output, and if it does, well, it works, and that's good enough.
No diode...
I have since seen a video where the guy did jump/recharged his car with a few AAs. 9, I guess, so about 13V, but that would only be something like 2Ah, so even more marginal. Seemed legit but who knows. Cute, but unlikely I would ever have that many AAs with me in the desert... Still, I...
I have to drill some holes in concrete, 1" deep or so, but I don't have the space to use my SDS hammer drill or even a smaller regular drill with pseudo hammer function either. I only have something like 4" for the drill and bit to fit sideways so to speak. Picture a narrow concrete trough...
I think you need to know the specs of both battery and inverter to answer that meaningfully. They will tell you what current the specific battery can provide, for how long, what voltage the inverter can handle, etc. Those vary a lot. Then figure it out based on all that, including cable...
damned thing is too smart (sorta) for its own good. Playing games with recognizing connectors in order to assume what cable you are using so it can limit input and all that... But that only works with their own OEM cables. So the lawyers were hard at work it seems. Sheesh...
there seems to be a great deal of confusion out there in WWW land about what the Ecoflows do, what cable they use and why, their specs etc. And probably especially about what their cables or the outside world will tolerate vs what the device itself can/will actively accept.
you had me look at the manual too now. Saw no mention there of the "DC charging 1100W" that I saw on their online specs. So maybe that was a mistake, unless that means that the DC input port can handle 1100W somehow. But they also say that the MPPT controller can only handle 15A / 500W so...
PV as in Photovoltaic. I just looked up the specs online for the Delta 2, it seems like they say it can do either PV charging at 500W or "DC" charging at 1100W (but didn't say what voltage and current). [PV is DC too, of course, so a bit of a misnomer.] It looks like you can charge at double...
are you using the PV input to the Ecoflow? I thought there was also a direct DC input on those things that allow for higher power in than with the PV inputs, something like up to 1000W or so. (Although the Orion would be the limiting factor in both cases, I assume). If you use the DC input...
Did a bit of searching. Found some chainsaws with automatic tensioning but oddly they were all electric. And reading some about it, I did see some criticizing of the systems. So I overestimated how common this is. I imagine if the big gas engine saw manufacturers have not embraced this, it's...
