considering is an AC DC machine the price is about right, lower can always be better right? since you are going to be doing sheet metal, a MIG will do a better job

I was thinking the same thing wait for a AC/DC version of the Lincoln, but that is like 550 plus tax. The Lincoln is 20% at 225 Amps $612 The Everlast is 60% at 300 Amps $500

Thank you guys for your help. MIG welding sounds kind of fun, but I forgot to mention that I will be welding out side, I know that I can always use flux core wire, is kind like the same as Arc only that stick is cheaper.

What about the Evertlast PowerArc 300 Tha one is 300 AMP DC at 60% duty cycle and 100% at 240 Amp But I am to so sure about the Everlast Brand What do you think?

Hey everyone I am new here :cheers: I am thinking to purchase my first welder, to make a few projects around the house, So far I found a Lincoln AC 225 Arc welder at Lowes for $299. :clap: Checked CL, but not so much luck. $299 is a really nice price. What can I expect from this welder?
