Brakes are incredibly easy and relatively inexpensive parts wise for this truck. I actually buy most of my LC parts from OEMLexus.com (Lexus Carlsbad) and they are usually the cheapest. I priced out OEM pads and rotors and it was like $450 shipped.

I live in so cal and my truck has seen snow in CA and NV, both use salt brine. I picked up a trick from a friend, he’s got one of those old school sprinklers that attach to the hose. We just leave it on under the truck for about 20 minutes and it gets about 90% of the underside.

We had a similar issue in the wife’s w205 c63. The service manager blamed it on hand lotion but I feel it’s a cop out. I suppose when I do the 10 year refresh on my truck I’ll probably pick up a steering wheel and two front seat cushions.
Changed my oil today.
Did a bolt check, everything was still snug (used blue Loctite).
Oil drain and filter doors came out no problem.
tried to keep everything clean but found about 30 seconds into the oil draining it starting dripping back into the skid plate. Ugh. Spent 20 mins cleaning it out...
