    FJ 40 wiper motors can be rebuilt by Cardone's

    my 74 FJ 40 wiper motors died recently, found the shafts frozen, cleaned them, reinstalled and motor died, posted for used got some responses, thanks, did some research found out Cardone will rebuild them check their website, their part number 43-4038, must be sent in by one of their dealers...

    thanks for writing have taken it apart both shafts were frozen, freed them up, one wire going inside the motor had been repaired and the solder broke its out getting resoldered will know tomorrow if it works, would like to buy yours as a spare either way. Let me know, please how much you want...

    have stock soft top for my 74 don't use it anymore changed truck to hard top, sorry tailgate stays on my truck, any offers, parts in dry basement, have new canvas for doors, top canvas is in fair/good condition all bows and stock frame for top any offers?

    I have a 74 FJ40, wiper motor just froze tried to find one on line, no luck, I heard some have got a universal replacement wiper motor from Whitney. Is that true? How is it working for you? What is the model number? Any other suggestions from members? Need a replacement ASAP thanks Doug
