    turbos

That looks pretty cool! Do you think you might be able to post a pic from the other side? Maybe close up of the manifold or something for us fabricator types to copy? I need to see more pics like that to get my lazy ass motivated to do this job! BTW, how and where do the oil and coolant...

    turbos

Hey there Lucky beers! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. My computer laid an egg and I couldn't get on to the net. Damn SP 2! Anyway, the AR on that turbo is supposed to be about .42 on the compressor and .48 on the turbine. Acording to my reasearch anyway. You might want to do...

    seaming seal OR seal seamer

Fusor and SEM make the two best seam sealers that I've ever used in collision repair, but they aren't cheap and you have to buy the dual cartridge guns and static mixing tips, again not cheap. Go with a brushable seam sealer, my shop usually uses Dominion Sure Seal and I haven't had a comeback...

    turbos

The 3B is a NATURAL for turbo charging (glad to hear that aren't ya?) 3B's are just getting broken in at 260k! The 3B is so perfect for turbo-ing mainly because of the piston skirt oiling system that it has. There are little nozzles in the block, underneath the cylenders that squirt oil on...

    what fluid am i leaking

Just a thought. How's your clutch fluid? If the slave cylinder is leaking, it could drip in about the same spot. Although from the sounds of it, it's probably what they've all mentioned above. Just thinking in a different direction. Could even be the seal around the input shaft on the...

    81 bj42 hardtop fit a 78 fj40

The `71 top and doors will probably work on your `78 better than the `81. `78 still has the tail gate and hatch instead of ambulance doors, right? I don't think they were too big on change in regaurds to how the top fit the tub anyhow. Could be wrong though. Anyway, with a little creativity...

    Has anybody turboed a 3B?

Hey buddy. Sorry about not getting back to you right away. I've been running around like a crazy man lately! :P I'd love to come out and see your set up. I won't be able to come out until after the long weekend though. I'll be in touch with you next week. Sorry again. Talk to you soon. Eric

    Has anybody turboed a 3B?

You know, I don't know where I got the idea that this turbo I picked up is a T-3. ??? I'm not exactly sure what model it is. It's a small Garrett out of a late `80s Chrysler car with an A/R on the compressor or .42 and on the turbine of .48. Sorry about the confusion. Eric

    Has anybody turboed a 3B?

I've heard some talk about guys flipping the exhaust manifold upside down, so that the outlet is at the top and the front. Then you make an adapter flange type thing. I think it might be a little too close to the alternator for me though (but it sure sounds easier than making my own manifold).

    Has anybody turboed a 3B?

I dropped you an e mail about dropping by. Did you have to upgrade your exhaust system to a larger pipe diameter or does the stocker still work. I just had the whole system replaced about 3 months ago, it would be a shame to have to junk it! Thanks again, Eric

    Has anybody turboed a 3B?

Yeah I'm looking forward to it. Could you send some pics of how it's hooked up? If you can't it's no biggie. :) Eric

    Has anybody turboed a 3B?

Hi. I've got an `82 BJ-42 with a 3B diesel. I just bought a Garrett t-3 water cooled turbo to put on it. I've got a pretty good idea of how I'm going to do it, but if anyone has any pictures, warnings, ideas or links to a good write up of how to do it, they'd be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Eric.

3B Diesel - head problems continue

I forgot to tell you about a really good diesel Landcruiser web site from Ontario (not that we'll hold that against them! :D ) www.bitwalla.com/cruisers lots of good diesel and 24v articles there. The guy there is usually good at answering questions too. Good luck Eric
