If it does it at idle and check engine light comes on and off then good chance you have an ECU issue, common for some of the 80's. Mine did the same, took it to my buddies at Lexus and thats what they told me. I took mine out and had it looked at and they couldnt find anything wrong with it...

Well been a toyota fan ever since my 85 4runner, tough truck. But between a 92 civic and the 4runner I could almost get by, needed more vehicle. So as things have it, I HAD TO:D buy a fj80. As i did my homework for my 4runner before I bought it, I did the same for the LC. I dont belive in a IFS...
