I would have thought so as well but they said they don't do piece work, which sucks because they're right by my house. A lot of shops seem to be going this way. The manager at the Pep Boys said they won't help DIY mechanics because if someone screws up the job, they end up blaming Pep Boys...

Well, I thought about using the Autozone spring compressor but I was under the impression that it's almost impossible to use without air tools. A while back I had to get some minor shop-work done (I seem to remember it was a bearing that I needed to press into a hub) and I had a devil of a time...

Getting the struts out of my ride was fairly easy but nowI need a shop to compress the springs on my old struts and move them to my new struts. Anyone know of a shop in Austin that could do a small job like this? THANKS!! A
