I've owned this vehicle for the past 15 years and it's time for something new. Always maintained well and parked in the garage every night. Completely stock - NOT locked. Runs well but needs new tires. 190,000 miles. Asking $6500. Located in San Diego (Scripps Ranch).

Same boat as the original poster (FloridaFJ80). I replaced the seal about a year ago...started leaking again two days ago. Will try a seal istaller this time. The axle seems fine (no groove). One thing I did notice is that 2 of the 4 bolts on the underside of the housing are...well, missing...

That's what everyone else is saying (about ATF)! I never (and I mean NEVER) add PS fluid. I only put about a half cup in to stop the squealing. Do you recommend that I flush and replace with ATF? We are original owners and don’t know that I've ever replaced the fluid in the PS system... Re...

Groaning/whining coming from the PS somewhere. The reservoir is in between min & max. The old girl has 195,000 mile on her and I doubt the PS fluid has ever been changed. I bought her with 25,000 on the odo. Change the PS fluid and see if that does the trick?

Padiator started leaking, so I pulled it and took it to the fix it guy. Top cap is leaking and he says he can't get a new one. If i'm going to pay $500 for a new radiator, may as well get input from y'all. Where can I get a good after market radiator? Just a daily driver, we don't do much...

V-Belt OK - what is the PITA factor to replace them?

Serpintine Digging up an ancient post... I have a 97 LC that has an incredibly squeeky s-belt. I have done the NAPA belt dressing trick...works for a day or two. How difficult is it to relace? I am pretty handy (pulled the radiaitor once...replaced the inner seal in the front end, etc.)...
