Refoam it. That will take away the bad noises and actually make the whole system sound better. Simply speakers has the kits. Disconnecting works, but about 50% of the time to refoam. Easy DIY. Crutchfield has detailed speaker removal instructions.
Good luck,
Dave
One again, leak was the odds on favorite for your problem. You can often spot the leaking site by looking for oil. Refrigerant and oil usually leak out together. Common sites are compressor, rear ac lines near muffler, possible condenser, hose connections and service ports. A pro would...
Great, Kite.
I think you're on the right track. One further word of advice: there are marketing companies that promote products that are supposed to seal leaks in ac systems. I strongly advise you to stay away from these. When, not if, they fail they leave a condition known as "black...
Hi Kite,
I agree, that you need to measure low and high side ac service port pressures. There are a variety of reasons for your problem. Some are mechanical, some are electronic. If I had to guess, and not all data fits, but a common scenario is a seller has a known ac leak, and recharges the...
You need to measure ac pressures while it is failing. Problem could be refrigerant overcharge, poor airflow maybe fan clutch, bad pressure switch, several other things. Expansion valve possible, but down the list, and diagnosed by pressure performance. I would take it back to the mechanic for...
Did you put TWO fuses in the Add-a fuse? I didn't see them both at first, then figured to add a second device, I would need a second fuse. Only one of the fuses is needed for the additional device, but if you don't have a fuse in the right slot, it won't work.
Good luck,
Dave
Agree with Flipped. I installed the condenser fan and I think it will work great. The fan is slightly audible outside the car, but not inside.
Good luck,
Dave
That labor price of $650 for 8 seats is extremely inexpensive. I have done several seats, including LC's and they take lots of time.
Looks like a nice result.
Good luck,
Dave
