    on the topic of 4x4 system.... does it harm anything to leave the hubs locked in 2wd? I do it quite a bit due to varying road conditions here, seems like it would just spin some things and not cause any issues, but I don't know for sure.

    makes total sense, with the center diff locked in the t-case. if i was still wondering I'd pull the rear driveshaft and cruise around but I'm pretty convinced it's the crappy tires I have on there. kicking myself for not thinking of this before.

    interesting, haven't really considered that. yeah the rears are some worn bfg mud terrains and the fronts are worn goodyear mtr's, both 33 x 12.5. the goodyears look a bit smaller.

    they are both 33's but the front ones are a bit more worn and slightly smaller diameter. about 4 in. of lift, u joints are smooth, and it turns easily.
