I have one in Michigan. It is green not rusty, but would cost something to ship. Let me know if you are interested. I can send a pic or quote shipping.
I have been following this thread because I am thinking body swapping a us spec 100 series onto a 3x locked 80, then putting the 2uz in as well. I'm having trouble understanding "the frame arches are too close together to fit up into the 100 body's wheelwells in the rear." Can you explain...
Wanted to buy 80 series RHD double sided (left side) steering arm from JDM or Australian parts rig. I just think it would be nice to have some extra strength.
I don't really want to buy one from cruiser parts or pay $177. Does anyone have one they would sell for $100?
Then you probably don't have spark. check EFI fuse and relay, coil, timing, fusible link etc. You can take out one of the spark plugs and ground it to see if you have spark or not.
My guess would be you're not getting fuel after the fuel filter replacement. See if your fuel pump is pumping, you should hear it. If not check fuses. Make sure you are getting pressure to the rail.
I have been working on my rear locker for my 1998. The actuator was broken and cost over $500 for a new one.
I needed a simple temporary fix with parts that I had on hand or easily sourced.
So I while I was deciding what to do, I made this emergency trail fix rear locker (or unlocker) from...
When you plug off the vacuum lines with ball bearings, you are stopping the vacuum from actuating the modulator. I believe you are effectively keeping the egr valve always closed by stopping the flow of exhaust through your egr valve into the intake, but what about the heat and exhaust that is...
You're taking pictures of the wrong side of the engine. 1. It looks like you have an EGR delete plug for the temp sensor and resistor mod, but the EGR is still there. So if the EGR valve is still there, you're still getting really hot there. 2. The spot where the wire harness melts is right...
This caused my IAC to idle down but never idle up. It took a long time to figure it out, but eventually, I figured that one of the wires must be shorted out or burnt by testing continuity between the iac and the ecu. Then unwrapped the bugger to find this. Easy fix, hard diagnosis.
